WE HEBBEN U NODIG

Indien u ons wilt helpen met het vertalen van Ancestris' application resources en hulppagina's naar een taal die wij nog niet ondersteunen, ga dan naar de Trac system - vertalingssectie. U kunt deze ook niet alleen vertalen, maar ook up-to-date houden, verbeteren, en/of nakijken.

De nodige informatie staat er gegeven en u zult er eveneens aan de betreffende bestanden geraken.

PREREQUISITE

BELANGRIJK : Voor het installeren en runnen van Ancestris, zult u eerst Java van Sun Microsystem (now Oracle) nodig hebben.

Om te checken welke versie u reeds hebt geïnstalleerd, kunt u steeds de webstek van "Verify Java Version" bezoeken.

Download

The official releases: version 0.5.x

Dit hangt af van uw besturingsprogramma: Windows, Linux, Mac Os.

Windows

• Ancestris :
  Available is an .exe file which make Ancestris easy to install. Just download it, execute it, and voilà. It's done.
  Once Ancestris installed one time, it will be automatically updated using your internet connection.

Linux

• Ancestris :
  What is your Linux distro? Here are the links to download the right package.
  As the download files are often updated, the links lead you to the french download section. These are the information you need to know what to do.

• Ubuntu () - You can download the .deb package. Click on the file name "Ancestris pour Ubuntu". Ancestris will be installed on your system.
  But you may want to go further and add Arvernes among your repositories, to be automatically adviced once a new Ubuntu package is available. Follow the instructions given in the french section. Google translation engine will be your friend there. If you have problem to understand how to do, leave us a message

• Mandriva () - A .rpm package is maintained, so you can download it, simply by clicking on the link "Fichier Ancestris au format RPM".
  Two options: when you download the file, you can open it using Software Installer, or you can download it, open a terminal, and as root, launching the installation by runing the following commands : "rpm -ivh ancestris*".

• Redhat () - See above the information given for Mandriva.

• Fedora () - See above the information given for Mandriva.

• Other Linux Systems - A .sh file is available. Download and execute it (open a terminal, and you can put the file just downloaded, where you want and execute the following command "sh ancestris-linux.sh" () - This file can be installed on any Linux computers.
  Click on the red line "Version x.x-x du xx/xx/201x" I do not give here the version number nor date, as this file is updated from time to time.

Mac

• Ancestris :
  We provide a .zip file, which should be easy to install. On the french section we give you a step by step process to download and install it on a Mac system. If you want me to do the same in that section, please give me screen captures of your own language, and I will create a special section for that. The file for Mac OS is "ancestris-osx.zip". To download it, click on its name.

Hoe registreren

• U wilt u laten registreren (twee manieren) :

• Stuur gewoon een e-mail naar:

"ancestris-subscribe@ml.arvernes.com". U hoeft geen inhoud aan te maken in de e-mail zelf, typ gewoon in het veld voor "Onderwerp", the word subscribe. Dat is alles.

Of:

• Klik gewoon op de nevenstaande link ancestris-subscribe@ml.arvernes.com - Dit zal uw e-mailservice openen en alle woorden in de correcte volgorde plaatsen. Wat daarna? Verzend simpelweg het bericht. Eenvoudig, niet?

Hoe schrijven naar de mailinglijst SysOp

• U wilt een bericht sturen naar de beheerderslijst:

• Stuur een bericht naar: ancestris-owner@ml.arvernes.com.

How to be referenced on Ancestris users Map

Wij menen dat het fijn zou zijn alle gebruikers op Ancestris zichtbaar waren.
Klik op de volgende link om de kaart van Ancestris-gebruikers te openen.

Om u ook te laten "spotten" op de kaart, zend een e-mail naar sitebeheerder Francois met uw coördinaten (breedtegraad, lengtegraad, uw (gebruikers)naam, de naam van uw woonplaats, uw systeemversie, dwz. Windows, Linux, Mac, OS/2, etc...).

Om uw exacte coördinaten te weten te komen, gebruik de webstek van Acme. Verzend uw coördinaten in volgend formaat: 35.55952 N // -89.64152 W, (bvb. John Doe, Covington TN, USA 35.55952 N 89.64152 W - Windows XP)
