How to be referenced on Ancestris users Map

Wij menen dat het fijn zou zijn wanneer alle gebruikers op Ancestris zichtbaar waren.
Klik op de volgende link om de kaart van Ancestris-gebruikers te openen.

Om ook u te "tonen" op de kaart, zend een e-mail naar sitebeheerder Francois met uw coördinaten (breedtegraad, lengtegraad, uw (gebruikers)naam, de naam van uw woonplaats, uw systeemversie, dwz. Windows, Linux, Mac, OS/2, etc...).

Om uw exacte coördinaten te weten te komen, gebruik de webstek van Acme. Verzend uw coördinaten in volgend formaat: 52.09079 N // 5.11937 E, (bvb. Jansen van de Good, Utrecht, Nederland 52.09079 N 5.11937 E - Windows XP)

Mailing List

Wilt u op de hoogte gehouden worden van releases? Zit u met vragen of heeft u hulp nodig? Heeft u suggesties? Voel u vrij u te registreren voor de mailinglijst (Engels en Frans).

Hoe registreren

• U wilt u laten registreren (twee manieren) :

• Stuur gewoon een e-mail naar:

"ancestris_en-subscribe@ml.arvernes.com". U hoeft geen inhoud aan te maken in de e-mail zelf, typ gewoon in het veld voor "Onderwerp", the word subscribe. Dat is alles.

Of:

• Klik gewoon op de nevenstaande link ancestris_en-subscribe@ml.arvernes.com - Dit zal uw e-mailservice openen en alle woorden in de correcte volgorde plaatsen. Wat daarna? Verzend simpelweg het bericht. Eenvoudig, niet?

Hoe schrijven naar de mailinglijst SysOp

• U wilt een bericht sturen naar de beheerderslijst:

• Stuur een bericht naar: ancestris_en-owner@ml.arvernes.com.

Developers Mailing List (Fr and Eng)

For those who want to help by developing Ancestris, or write plugins, or parts of the program itself, or who want to help with translation, etc, there is a dedicated mailing list. In it you can write in english, and in french.

How to register

• I want to subscribe (two ways) :

• Just send a message to:

"ancestris_dev-subscribe@ml.arvernes.com". You don't have to write something in the body of your message, but in the line "Subject", just write the word subscribe. That's all.

Or:

• Just click on the Email address beside ancestris_dev-subscribe@ml.arvernes.com this will open your mail client and will put the correct words in each field. What to do next? Just send the message. Easy, isn't it.

How to write to the mailing list SysOp

• You want to send a message to the list administrator:

IRC (Fr and Eng)

This is another place where you can speak with Ancestris users.

There, no problem, the IRC ^[1] is available on the Freenode network.

You can join us on : irc.freenode.net, Chanel : #ancestris

Some explanations are given on the way to install and use the IRC.

On that chanel there are people who can speak english, so you should join us to give us feedback, to ask for some help (if you need some), etc. about the Ancestris software.

Tip : Even if you don't want to install an IRC client, you can access, by clicking on that link, to the Ancestris IRC chanel thru the Web with just Firefox or Internet Explorer.

Webcams

Il est possible pour vous de trouver peut être des utilisateurs de Ancestris ayant une webcam, et pouvant vous donner un coup de main.

Si vous voulez aider d'autres utilisateurs, n'hésitez pas à mettre ici vos coordonnées. Au début je recommandais Ekiga comme logiciel de discussion audio video, mais vu que Ekiga ne fonctionne pas toujours sous Linux je pense qu'il faut mieux qu'on s'oriente vers Skype (qui lui marche très bien sous Linux et Windows) en attendant qu'Ekiga soit plus opérationnel pour tous.

1. Arvernes (Francois): pseudo sous Skype : "isle85" ou "iotaceti" ou "arvernes43".
2. Il y a de la place, alors n'hésitez pas à vous équiper et à aider. Merci.

Si vous ne voyez aucun des pseudos ci-dessus, n'hésitez pas à nous mettre un message pour qu'on fixe ensemble un moment où l'on puisse se retrouver par webcams interposées.
