Ancestris Your Genealogy Program

Ancestris is a genealogy program written in Java. The consequence of this choice is that it can run on all operating systems, as Windows, Mac Os, Linux, OS/2. If you want to share your data between your friends, family, etc.. they can use the same program as you, even if they run a different Operating System as your.

Ancestris works on the gedcom file itself, it means there is no need to export your data to send them and share them. That way you are sure you won't lose any data.

Beside the editors (Ancestris comes with two editors, one gedcom editor and one standard), it offers many views as the tree view, the geo view, the timeline view, the navigator, the table view, etc. It offers you a possibility to extend its capabilities, by adding plugins to the program itself.
